Asheem Da: We will miss you... asheem chakravarthy 199x300
Our sincerest condolences to Asheem Da’s family and band mates. You will be deeply missed.

As one of our crew here at LiveIsBetter remembers Asheem:

I had the pleasure of meeting Asheem just a few months back during their tour stop in Berkeley. I must confess I was really scared of meeting the band, especially Asheem. From the way I saw the band, I had thought Asheem would be the one who would give me a real hard time. Well, I was completely proven wrong. During the entire interview which encompassed their arrival to the venue, stage setup, sound check, encore and post concert meet and greet, I would speak to him the most. We talked about the initial days, the struggle to popularity and his passion for music. I had helped him set up his ‘tabla table’ during the stage setup. It was the second time that he was going to play tabla whilst standing. And since I had suggested the arrangement, he reciprocated by taking a picture of mine with the entire stage setup. (I wish I had the picture) Such was his simple demeanor, charming and attractive. After the concert, he had sternly ordered me to stay in touch. Wish I could make him keep his end of the promise. I am deeply devastated by the news and will miss him.
