Pandit Divyang Vakil’s Tabla Ecstasy
A soulful and mature composition, Tabla Ecstasy is an enthralling display of Indian drumming. Highly intricate rhythmic patterns are set to a repeating melodic time cycle of 16 beats. This masterpiece is the latest group tabla ensemble composed by Tabla Guru Pandit Divyang Vakil showcasing the power of the North Indian hand drums – tabla.
In a contemporary presentation style, Tabla Ecstasy is a unique anekbandhi that follows with the sound of modern music, while carrying the essence and richness of classical tabla playing.
Tabla Ecstasy is performed in perfect synchronization and harmony by the four of five artists of Pandit Divyang Vakil – Rushi Vakil, Nishant Mehta, Kaumil Shah, Sahil Patel and Rahul Shrimali, with accompaniment on harmonium, sitar or saarangi.
Previous tabla ensembles by Pandit Divyang Vakil include Tabla Taandav, Tabla Triveni, Tabla Tarkhat, Power of Tabla, Ardha Taal Chakra and Tabla Upaj. The artists have performed as soloists and members of Pandit Divyang Vakil’s tabla ensembles all over India, as well as in Belgium, France, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and more!
Tabla Ecstasy is a performing group with Rhythm Riders Music Productions, a music production house headed by Pandit Divyang Vakil.
