Ustad Amjad Ali Khan – the name is synonymous with the Sarod. Truly a worldclass exponent of the Sarod and a master of Hindustani Classical Sangeet.
He is one of very few Indians who has received the Padma Shri, the Padma Bhushan and the Padma Vibhushan. He was awarded the Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize in 2004 and The U.S. state Massachusetts proclaimed April 20 as Amjad Ali Khan Day in 1984.
Ayaan and Amaan Ali Khan are sons of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and have received complete training from their father. Under the tutelage of their father, they have grown to be excellent Sarod players and accompany their father in Concerts worldwide. Many claim that it is truly a proud and pleasing experience to see and hear them play in harmony with their father and together, they create magic.
